SEA Series Part 2: Lovely Laos, Charming Vientiane

This post is part of a series on my 16-day Mainland South East Asian trip with college buddies across Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.

I have been looking forward to a trip with my college best friends since we graduated in 2005. Imagine how ecstatic I was when two of them were able to join me. It was like college once again, minus the Departmental Exams. :)

SEA Series Part 1: SEA Part 1: My Bahrain – Bombay – Bangkok – Vientiane journey

BAH-BOM-BKK via Jet Airways

Yes, Ako na ang adik. Marso pa lang ay may tickets na ko for this trip. Palagay ko’y may hang over pako sa lagalag namin nung Dec 2012 (Boracay-Singapore-Malaysia-HongKong-Macau) kaya wari’y di ako mapalagay hangga’t wala kong nabu book na next trip / vacation destination. :p

My air tickets had different sectors though this time. Instead of the usual Bahrain- Dubai/Abu Dhabi-Manila (BAH-DXB/AUH-MNL) route, I booked Bahrain-Mumbai (Bombay)-Bangkok (BAH-BOM-BKK) via Jet Airways. Bukod kasi sa promo fare, e maglalagalag muna kami sa very popular na Indochina route + Thailand + Myanmar. :)

Back to Rebyu – CIPS May 2014

Yep, before I become a planning-crazy Bridezilla, I need to focus first on my upcoming CIPS examinations on May 2014.

I’ve made the necessary wed prep stuff as per the timeline checklist and now ready to devote the remaining 4 months for CIPS study+review.

The results for my D1, D2 & D3 tests taken in Dec 2013 won’t come out until Feb 2014, and I am very, very hopeful I passed all three. I plan to take modules D4 & D5 this time, to complete the International Diploma course. :)

Ready for CIPS modules D4 & D5 :)

Ready for CIPS modules D4 & D5 :)

I know I still have so much backlog posts – Indochina trip, Palawan trip, Ilocos trip, Bicol trip, et al. I will try to squeeze in some posts, along with work, gym and study time, bahala na si Batman. :)

As usual, ako’y nagpapasalamat sa promo fares ng Jet Airways, Tiger Airways, Air Asia, PAL Express, Cebu Pacific at cheap accomodations via Agoda, which made all these travels possible (2 home leaves ulet, woot!) without breaking the bank. :)

Up in the Air: DXB-MNL via Cebu Pacific

Salamat sa Piso Fare Cebu Pac! I admit I had second thoughts that this trip would push through, but it did! Of course it lacked features avail with full service flights like free food and entertainment monitor but I knew this beforehand so I brought light snacks, drinks  and had my laptop to watch a movie before I fell asleep.

The trip was smooth and lucky to have 3 seats to my self, I stretched horizontally and slept well. Maya maya lang, lalapag na pala sa Manila. Great job Cebu Pac! Kitakits sa pagbalik sa January, :)

Christmas Vacation 2013

Akala ko’y di matutuloy, pero yun o, woot woot! Hindi man sya gaya ng mga dumaang bakasyon ko na uber detailed ang itinerary, I’m very grateful to be able to spend another Christmas & New Year’s sa Pinas.  :)

The perfect luggage :)

The perfect luggage :)

I had return tickets beforehand pero had doubts because I thought I have exams sa January 2014. Yun pala e sa May 2014 pa, so pasok ang magChristmas leave sa schedule. I had major PRs sorted na rin kaya ala masyadong pending. And Buboy had plans for a special event home. Everything seemed to fall into place. Mashallah. :)

Buti na lang din at super understanding ang boss by approving my leave on such a short notice. Last minute arrangements, gawa ng endorsement, packed my backpack and gora na! Lezzz do this! Happy Holidays! :)
