Patar White Beach, Bolinao

A part of my 2 week leave during Feb-Mar 2012.

04 March 2012. Costa Del Fuego Resort, Patar White Beach, Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Patar White Beach

I’ve heard of Patar’s white sand beach many times before, however, even if it’s also in Pangasinan, it’s actually about 3-4 hours away from my hometown. It’s way past Labrador and Alaminos, so it’s not that easy to just get a tryke to go for a swim.

It was our friend Beth’s idea who also celebrated her birthday and arranged our group for an early morning trip to Bolinao. Her husband Syd, who’s also a good friend, arranged a family van and was also our driver.

We decided to cook food to bring for the trip. Beth had Kambing dishes (yum!) while i prepped Spag, Salad and Adobo. After cooking, immediately went to sleep as we’d have to wake up early morning.

After picking us up at around 5am, we went to get Weng at Basista and headed for Bolinao. We passed the towns / cities of San Carlos, Binmaley, Bugallon, Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Bani and Anda  (i think, referring to road signs, medyo groggy pa sa antok e hehe).

We arrived past 9am, had our late breakfast, and everyone went for a swim. The sand was indeed fine and white. And the water was cold. Everyone can’t get enough of the water even until past noon. Tustado! Hehe! = )

On our way home, Syd asked if I still wanted to go to the Lighthouse, but as it was almost sunset and he had night duty later, i said no to save time. And, also, at the back of my mind, i was thinking, it will be one more reason to go back to Bolinao… = )

Here are some photos of Patar White Beach, Bolinao…

  1. I love Bolinao! I keep coming back. My hometown is Pangasinan, too! 🙂 Glad to see you here.

Thanks, kabaleyan sirin! I haven’t been to the lighthouse,so i’d be definitely back! = )

      • Well, I haven to Bolinao many times but I haven’t gotten anywhere near the lighthouse! I’ve only seen it from afar. It’s a must-see on my next visit I guess. 🙂 Hmmmmm… I don’t understand the dialect. hahaha we leaned towards Ilocano 🙂

Yep, one good reason not to see everything at once, so you can keep coming back 🙂 I can only speak Pangasinan (some are lucky to be bilingual) and understand some Ilocano as i studied in Baguio, 🙂

      • Right. 🙂 I studied in Baguio as well. Now based in Manila.
