Slide in, and Splash out @ Wahooo! Water Park Bahrain

This post is part of a series on Bahrain’s tourist attractions, notable places of interest, and just about everything I love about the island. Bahrain has been home to me since 2007.

May it be supah hot summer or chilly winter, Wahooo! Water Park’s got it all for you!

Wahooo! is Middle East’s first ever indoor-outdoor water park with an area of 15,000 square-metres. It’s guaranteed to be the ultimate water fest with a whole new world of thrilling rides and attractions including Master Blaster, Sidewinder, Matt Racer, a Multi Level Rain Fortress, Wave pool, Toddler pool and Lazy River. Wahooo’s temperature controlled wave pool, yes! 🙂

Conveniently located inside Bahrain City Centre Mall in Seef District, I’ve earlier mentioned in my post on what keeps us busy during the Middle of Summer in the Middle East that Wahooo! is one of the must-do’s in Bahrain, be it summer or winter.

Welcome to Wahoo! – Buboy

The water park’s excellent amenities include a restaurant / snack bar with outdoor picnic dining setting, party venues (for birthdays), and even a retail outlet (Wave Pro) for swimming apparel & souvenir items.

View from deck, sub-tropical paradise island ang peg!

Okay, okay, you can see the blue ceiling instead of a natural sky. But seriously, when it’s 10 or 43 degrees Celsius outside, I know you wouldn’t mind floating at the indoor wave pool, ^_^

Wave pool – the waves come at timing intervals, every 5 minutes ata…

At the center of the deck is this huge, white ship where you can go up to get a better view of the island, at siempre picture, picture!

this huge, white ship moored “at the center of the tropical island” gives great overviews

And op kors, slides galore! I realize, I really am still a kid. At heart lah. 🙂

Wahooo “Black Hole” Body Slides

Slide in, Splash out! 🙂

With about 70% of the the water park indoors, let’s check out the outdoors…

Brrrrr….. I can remember our visit during Winter 2011….it was coooold…(teeth chatter)

Outdoor Pool

Lifeguards are on duty both in indoor and outdoor areas

Buboy – ang Batang Ilog

We checked out the outdoor area which has the lagoon pool, flow rider and matt racer slides but finally gave in to the cold air and went back indoors, hehehe. Yes, call us babies. = p

It was warmer to be under the water than exposed to the chilly air, hehe!

Our favorite, siempre, the Wave Pool! 🙂

Parang mga isda lang! 🙂

Wahooo! is open basically 11am onwards daily (similar to mall opening timing), with Ladies Nights on Wednesdays.  For full schedule details please click here. Day entry @ BHD 10/- (USD 26.50) but watch out for season promos & group discounts.

So now you won’t be wondering when someone tells you “We’re going swimming at The Mall!

Coz we’re really goin! Yalla! 🙂
