This post is part of a series on our trip to Oman in October 2012, during the celebration of Eid Al Adha holidays. The temps have finally simmered down, perfect for the outdoors, yay! 🙂
After our long Seeb, Muscat – Ibra, Ash Sharqiyah drive, we finally reach this hidden piece of paradise…
One can only drive up to this point, which also serves as “parking space.” Here we met some young locals very eager to help carry our food and other picnic stuff for some small Eid gift, wink, wink. 🙂
Then there’s this “walkway / path” to the Wadi, yes there’s running water between them, hehe, tuwa na kami nyan! 🙂
Upon reaching the end of the walkway, this awesome view greets you….
We walked further and the views seemed more and more beautiful each time.
I thought we’d already be staying here but Sir Roger said we go further. Okidoks, we go further.
Dine pala kami pupunta, good I wore comfy rubber shoes, 🙂
Siempre, stop over muna for some photo op, 🙂
Along the way to the Cave, we passed this spot where many people were swimming. 🙂
The water looked so inviting, and Buboy could not resist. = p
I didn’t attempt to take a dip though, as the water’s deep (I still don’t know how to swim lah hehehe).
And it was fine with me, the spectacular beauty of nature all around me’s so much more than enough, naks. I took all the photos I can hanggang ma lowbatt ako. 🙂
Buboy was having so much fun too, I think. He swam up to the edge then climbed this rock and asked for photos. We were grinning all the time we were there, hehehe.
Again we walked further, pausing every now and then to soak up the view, (and catch some breath as well hohoho)
We eventually chose one spot to rest and eat our lunch (ay oo, lunch time na pala).
After lunch, trek ulet!
Ganado si Buboy, hindi naman masyadong halata sa pictures noh? 🙂
We had fun shooting photos of him against the cave / rocks as his skin color and shorts were similar, seemed like camouflage. 🙂
We spent a bit more time here before moving back to the Wadi. And Buboy wanted to climb every rock he saw, = p
Back to the Wadi, Buboy swam again while I and Sir Roger watched him and the others swimming (some were even diving from cliffs hehe).
It was fun watching them but my sleep-deprivedness (is there such a word?) has started to really sink in and my eyes were voluntarily closing. I wanted to stretch out on one spot and sleep kaso dyahe, LOL.
We left the Wadi around 2pm, and I half slept during the trip back to Muscat. We arrived at the hotel about half past 4, checked-in, took a warm shower and immediately dived to bed and slept soundly.
I need to recharge my batteries full for tomorrow.
