I just can’t help but be nostalgic about this particular home leave. Maski umuuwi ako yearly plus earlier (two-week home leave in Feb 2012), this trip’s really special for me.
After five consecutive years of Christmas away from my family and New Year’s without kwitis, finally! Nakauwi rin ng December! 🙂
Dec 5 (Wed)
4 pm. Punch out! I actually still have tons of stuff to do (kelan ba naubos weh?) but my amazing boss shooed me away with a smile. Yalla, go Liya! Have a safe trip and enjoy your vacation! 🙂
5 pm. Reached flat, rested a bit. Naligo. Nagbihis. Final check luggage (pasalubongs and all, inabot ako ng 35 kgs hehe!) and my backpack stuff. Then took a cab to the airport.
830 pm. Bahrain International Airport. Drop luggage sa counter. (Did online check-in prior). Roam around Duty Free shops. Bought alcohol for Yano. His requested Jagermeister was not available, kaya Smirnoff at Cuervo nlang. Same same alak lah. = p
While waiting for boarding, dinner muna – > Mushroom burger meal @ Jasmis. 🙂
1030 pm. Scheduled departure ng Etihad for BAH-AUH, but was delayed due to tech stuff. Keber. I was quite tired from duty and too sleepy to notice what time we actually took off.
Dec 6 (Thu)
355 am. Arrived AUH and with batteries charged, rushed to catch AUH-MNL flight. Sakto lang, diretso boarding! 🙂
At dahil nakatulog ng ilang oras kanina, at mas malamang sa excitement, hindi muna ako nakatulog and observed around me. Well, you actually can’t help but smile as you see everyone else find their seat, fix their cabin stuff, talking to travel mates, et al. You just relize that feeling, Krismas is definitely in the air, 🙂
The crew served our “Good Night” meal which I enjoyed (as always naman, dahil hindi ako maselan LOL) before prepping to sleep.
And as our elders say it’s not good to straightly doze off after eating, I skimmed through E-Box, Etihad’s inflight entertainment, and chose to watch a few epis of TBBT. Oo napanood ko na prior, but I just love this show as well as I won’t mind falling asleep while watching kasi nga napanood ko na. 🙂
I cannot remember how or what time I fell asleep but glad to recall it was sound and peaceful (re: no kids/babies crying hehe). Saw a few youngsters sa exit row but they were all behaved, as well as Etihad crew were attentive to them. Salamat po!
Before our descent, we were served our hearty breakfast. Then, I chose to watch Bourne Legacy (was curious as it was partly filmed in Manila) while waiting for our arrival time.
415 pm. Touchdown MNL!
515 pm. Exit NAIA (it took awhile to get my luggage sa carousel) with my brothers Yano and Pop.
630 pm. Five Star Bus Terminal Pasay. Boarded bus bound for San Carlos.
1145 pm. Arrived Malasiqui. After almost 24 hours of travel. I Am Home Sweet Home, for Krismas! 🙂
