This post is part of a series on our trip to Boracay in December 2012, during my four-week home leave. This is my second chance to visit this island paradise, while it’s a first time for Buboy. And we were both looking forward to experiencing that indeed, It’s More Fun in The Philippines!
It’s our Day 2 in Island Paradise! Made sure to woke up early for the day’s activities, 🙂
Started with a hearty Pinoy breakfast, I had Tocilog while Buboy had Tapsilog (which he already devoured before I could take a photo hehe). Btw, breakfast was not included in our hostel rate and having it from their menu was a bit pricey so we opted for the “tapsihan” just a few meters from B & B. Each set costs about Php 70-90/- ala carte. Solb!
After our happy burps, we started our leisurely stroll, this time heading to Station 3.
The sun was up but temps were actually cool as thick clouds were making their way to cover the skies.
While getting nearer to Station 3, it started to drizzle a bit. Carebears! 🙂
We passed by Asya Premier and reached up to Angol Point, then stayed under this rocky shade to rest a bit, enjoy the views until the drizzling stopped.
Pagbalik, we stopped on a sidewalk stall we saw earlier and bought Banana cue & Mango shake. Snacked while sitting on one of those monoblock beach beds and while staring at the beach. Solb ulet!
After that yummy treat, walked and walked again until we saw one sign leading to an alley that said D’Original Talipapa. We went inside and found a mini-palengke for pasalubongs and bought souvenir shirts for our loved ones at home.
After the mini shopping we decided to go back to the hostel (supposedly to just drop the stuff we bought). But then I realized Buboy just tricked me coz he wanted to sleep again. Siesta daw. Haysus ginoo. Fine.
So I let him have his siesta while I read a bit and then checked out the map/guide again.
Woke him up at 2 pm for our activities that afternoon. First up, ATV to Mt. Luho / Ocean Tower.
Kuya Arnel, our coordinator, met us in front of Boracay Tropics and we all rode the shuttle to the ATV/Bugcar station.
We were charged Php 350/pax including the entrance to the Ocean Tower. You have to add for the Aviary if you opt to drop by (which we skipped).
We had a guide who rode an Enduro motorcycle in front of us until we reached the view point, the journey was about 10-15 mins (slow gear only lah).
We left our guide with the ATVs and headed for the Ocean Tower, we had about 30-40 minutes alawans for sight seeing hehe.
The Ocean Tower is a multi level viewing deck including a snack bar, offering beautiful aerial views of Boracay.
It is from here we got to see Bulabog Beach (maski from afar lang, we didn’t go there). Daming kite surfers!
It was quite windy and the sky was cloudy (but not raining) kaya hindi mo feel ang sunburn. There were some Koreans with us up there, taking turns clicking photos. We stayed there until it was time to go for our ATV ride back to the station.
Nope,Day 2 ain’t done yet!
Pers hap pa lang to how we spent 12-12-12, 🙂
