This post is part of a series on our trip to Boracay in December 2012, during my four-week home leave. This is my second chance to visit this island paradise, while it’s a first time for Buboy. And we were both looking forward to experiencing that indeed, It’s More Fun in The Philippines!
Day 4 and last day in Boracay hayyys…
Yun oh. Ume-emo. Toinks. Pero wish ko naman hindi ulit abutin ng 9 years bago makabalik dine. 🙂
It was a rainy morning. At talaga naming nakakatamad bumangon. I opened my eyes and checked my watch, maaga pa. And also felt all my bones were hurting (from the flying fish ride yesterday bwahahaha). Back to bed therefore, zzzzz…..
After an hour or so, I finally woke up. Medyo tumila na ang ulan. Checked our sampay sa balkonahe, then requested hot water sa reception so I can make morning coffee (ako na ang girl scout na may baong 3-in-1 coffee sachets hehehe).
Buboy gising na!
At ayaw pa talagang bumangon Ate Charo. Kako, bahala ka. Maliligo ako mag-isa. Uuwi na tayo mamaya noh.
Ayun, bumangon rin. 🙂
It was still drizzling but the sun was up, weird weather lah. Pero wa pakels ang peoples swimming all over. Didn’t bother to take photos, my phone will definitely get wet. :p
Join naman kami ni Buboy sa water and enjoyed our last swim. Umahon kami around 11am and got back to the hostel.
We changed to dry clothes, packed our bags and went to check out.
Pero dahil maaga pa for our flight later, we left our bags sa reception and went out for our final stroll and lunch.
Reaching D’Mall, we went inside once again and this time to search for a place where we’ll have our lunch. It’s been mentioned and recommended in several blogs.
Hindi ako choosy lalo na pag gutom, I will eat anywhere, anything, toinks! But this time, I was curious to try the place and we found it naman quite easily (basta malapit sa Island Souvenirs, lakad pa deretso konti) tada!
Smoke Resto looked simple but clean. And their menu definitely got all my attention. Order na!
Galit-galit muna. Mangan tayon! 🙂
I would say Smoke Resto did not disappoint! Super sulit = yummy food at very reasonable rates, highly recommended! 🙂
After having our lunch, stroll ulit kami ni Buboy. Then Kuya Arnel sent an SMS telling may parasailing na!
We thought twice if we should go for it, may oras pa naman. Kaso I think we were too full to think (Toinks). At inaantok/tinatamad na naman si Buboy (busog e, hehe).
Finally we decided to decline, next time nlang daw pagbalik namin. -> Wish ko lang talaga not in another 9 years. :p
So we got back to our hostel, got our bags and thanked ate for our pleasant stay.
We got on a tryke in front of Boracay Tropics to get to Cagban Port (Php20/pax) then boat transfer to Caticlan Jetty Port + van ride to Kalibo (Php175/combo per pax).
Very smooth transfers, no lengthy waiting times in between. Sa van nga to Kalibo kami last 2 passengers kaya gora agad. (I allotted waiting time ngarud).
Resulta, ang aga namin sa airport! :p
We realized this while looking at the cramped little Kalibo Airport, hehe. So we waited while the earlier flights departed, roamed around the duty free shop upstairs, tried what the food stalls offered (loved Waffle Time!) until it was our turn to board and depart.
This is pancit.
Paalam Aklan! Thank you for our wonderful 4 days/3 nights stay…. Until next time lah….
Our Cebu Pac flight was on time to depart Kalibo and arrive Manila. Will make a separate review post later.
From NAIA Terminal 3, we walked outside the main premises to get a normal cab (the cabs inside = very expensive my friend).
Arrived at Cainta about an hour later, freshened up and collapsed to bed….zzzz…..
See you tomorrow Clark!
