This post is part of a series on our Asian mini-trip last December 2012, during my four-week home leave. After four amazing days in the Island Paradise, Boracay, we jumped on a bus to spend the night at Clark, Angeles City to catch our early morning flight commencing our 8-day trip around Singapore – Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong and Macau.
After our arrival in Singapore and settling in our hostel, we immediately proceeded to our sightseeing itinerary for the day, our first stop: Sentosa Island. 🙂
From our hostel, we walked to Paya Lebar station and road the MRT Green Line up to Outram Park. Then transferred to Purple Line and got off at Harbourfront station. Walked to Vivo City and got on the Sentosa Monorail Express for SGD 3, with unlimited station transfers within the island. 🙂
We alighted at the Waterfront Station, where RWS and USS are located. Roamed around while holding our map guide, hehehe.
Nope, didn’t go inside USS. Both of us are not fond of rides (maski sa EK or Disneyland, patawarin), as well as our tight schedule didn’t allow us time in case we wanted to. Sightseeing lang talaga and pichur pichur pwede (pero nakapagsnack naman kami sa Breadtalk nyan hehehe). 🙂
We walked until we saw this Merlion which I read about online. I know it’s a different Merlion from the one in the city center, but still, it is a Merlion. Happy na ako nyan. Hehehe.
We went up the Imbiah station and rode the monorail to the Beach station.
There were many interesting rides we saw along the way and on the map guide we had. One which caught our eye is the iFly – indoor skydiving. We thought, hmmm, pwede pwede… kaso tight sked… move on lah. :p
We followed our map guide and walked our way to Palawan Beach, noting sights along the way with countless photo op stops, 🙂
When I prepared our IT, Sentosa’s website was definitely helpful, for all the info one may need about the island.
We caught the Beach Tram at the Palawan Beach station to experience the ride (also our feet were starting to kill us already, hehehe).
After an end-to end trip, we alighted at the main Beach Station, went up the monorail and rode the train back to Sentosa station @ Vivo City. Bye, bye Sentosa….it was nice meeting you! 🙂
Alighting at Vivo City, we noticed it was almost dark. Tara na sa Clarke Quay! 🙂
