Asian mini-trip Series Part 3: Clarke Quay & Singapore River at night

This post is part of a series on our Asian mini-trip last December 2012, during my four-week home leave. After four amazing days in the Island Paradise, Boracaywe jumped on a bus to spend the night at Clark, Angeles City to catch our early morning flight commencing our 8-day trip around Singapore – Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong and Macau. :)

Clarke Quay

From our sightseeing walkathon in Sentosa, we hopped on a train at the Harbourfront station and alighted at Clarke Quay.

Didn’t know that the station was beneath a mall, our feet led us to the food court area of The Central, hehehe. 🙂

CENTRAL: A crackling Christmas by the river

Paskong pasko! 🙂

Yummy food!

I cannot remember how much we paid for our meals but they were reasonable and yummy! Solb! 🙂

Buboy’s chilli-something meal, yum!

After our meal, we explored the Promenade area,

marker, we’re here! 🙂

Chose a spot by the river and sat for awhile, to enjoy the view and take pictures from my trusty mobile phone, hehe

After sometime, got on our feet and walked again, leading to Raffles Place station. We passed by this lane full of restaurants featuring awesome king crabs and giant lobsters! 🙂

Continued walking, with brief stops to admire (and take photos) of landmarks along the way,

Finally, we reached Raffles Place. Got on the train and alighted at Paya Lebar station, and walked to our hostel, sa wakas pahinga! 🙂

Oh (giant) Christmas tree!

But it was just a short rest break. We need to catch the last train to Changi Airport. Cabs after midnight have surcharge. Yes, I am this kuripot (stingy), hehehe.

off to Changi before midnight

That night, for the first time in my life, I actually slept at an airport. 🙂

In the morning, we’re off to Kuala Lumpur! 🙂
