Asian mini-trip Series Part 5: Meeting the Menara Petronas and getting arrested…

This post is part of a series on our Asian mini-trip last December 2012, during my four-week home leave. After four amazing days in the Island Paradise, Boracaywe jumped on a bus to spend the night at Clark, Angeles City to catch our early morning flight commencing our 8-day trip around Singapore – Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong and Macau. :)

Buboy, Iyang and the Twin Towers

After conquering the 272 steps to Batu Caves, we were up to our next destination, the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. 🙂

Pero siempre, bago ang lahat, lunch break muna! We went down at KL Sentral and looked for a place to eat.

KL Sentral

At dahil nahihilo na kami, once we saw the sign “Food Plaza” eh gorabels agad! :p

Jom Makan! 🙂

hoy, pasaway!

makulimlim ang langit at naambon

We stayed a bit and roamed some parts of Suria. When we checked our watches it was actually still early and we had time to do a brief Putrajaya/Cyberjaya tour if we wanted to.

But we both felt tired already (from all the walking and lack of sleep hehe) so we decided to skip the taxi tour and head back to the airport and catch some rest while waiting for our flight back to Singapore.

We got on the MRT again and alighted at KL Sentral and hopped on the next Aerobus to KLCCT.

KLCCT Departures

Ngapala, our phones were both lowbatt so I chose to sit on a spot kung saan may electrical outlet to charge. Buboy went out to smoke. I already reminded him about designated smoking areas, esp. sa Singapore kaya I thought he’d know better.

After a few minutes, he came back with a local guy. And while I thought he was just kidding, he was actually caught smoking at a restricted area and now demanded to pay the (huge) imposed fine otherwise blah blah blah…

It took quite a long explanation + puppy eyes plea to mitigate the fine and clear Buboy. Sigh of relief, whew!

Afterwards. we looked for an area to rest while waiting for the check in counter to open.

rest muna while waiting for our flight back to SG

Aboard Tiger, KL to SG

We arrived at Changi Airport before midnight and followed Uncle Tony’s tip. Instead of taking a cab to the hostel, we got on a bus and got off at Joo Chiat Palace, na ilang tambling na lang naman sa hostel. Thanks for the super tipid tip Uncle Tony! 🙂

We arrived around midnight at the hostel and after freshening up, immediately dived to our bunk beds and snored the night away.

Tomorrow’s itinerary – Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Art Science Museum, Esplanade, and op kors, Merlion Park! 🙂
