Asian mini-trip Series Part 7: Hello Hong Kong!

This post is part of a series on our Asian mini-trip last December 2012, during my four-week home leave. After four amazing days in the Island Paradise, Boracaywe jumped on a bus to spend the night at Clark, Angeles City to catch our early morning flight commencing our 8-day trip around Singapore – Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong and Macau. :)

Matapos ang mala-Amazing Race na byahe sa Singapore + Kuala Lumpur, we move on to the next leg of our trip, ang bayang mahal ni Jacky Chan. Let’s Discover Hong Kong!🙂

Our flight in May 2007, sector Manila to Bahrain ay via Cathay  Pacific.

Exchange rates were indeed better sa Mirador area mismo.

Mirador Mansions might look old and spooky outside pero in fairness, winner sa location. At the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. 🙂

Further, USA Hostel, were we stayed, (booked via Agoda) looked clean naman and new (asa newly built wing / extension ang room namin). Maliit lang talaga ang space (which is expected sa Hong Kong). As in two single beds + banyo + LCD TV + AC, yun na yun. Refer to the pictures for reference.

Plus points:

1)      2 pairs rubber slippers sa room

2)      Hot and cold mineral water avail sa reception

3)      Daily house keeping, as in walang palya maski wala kaming request, apir!

5)      Approachable ung locals sa reception (asked for key deposit, USD 20 returned upon check out)

Minus points:

1)      Sucky net. Borlogs agad pag-uwi. Toinks.

2)      Late na hot water in the morning.

As in BRRRRRRR…. Ito ang totoong winter!🙂

Pagka check-in ngarud e we left our stuff and went out for dinner.

We made a trip to a nearby 7-11 store afterwards, nag stock up kami ng almusal / baon for the subsequent days (kami na ang takot magutom ever hehehe).

Sa pagod at puyat the previous days, hindi na kami gumala on our first night sa Hong Kong.
