Yes, am back!
I know I still have a ton of backlog posts, please forgive me. I haven’t even finished my SIN-KUL-HKG-MFM Series e nakapila na ang Myanmar + Indochina Backpacking trip with the Mons, plus Solo Byaheng Norte then Palawan Trip with Mum. Puro Snapshots pa lang ang kaya ng powers ko for the meantime. Bahala na si Batman, :p
Siempre naman, once I arrived e work muna inatupag ko noh. Gusto mo naman e, masisante ako? Hehehe.
And so, Week 33 was spent clearing paper backlog, updating pending PRs, POs & other cases. Week 34 went so fast doing urgent PRs and the highlight, enrolling with CIPS. Sa wakas, Jonas! After long time my friend, woot! 🙂
Nipostpone ko ng 2 years ire due to the following chenes:
2011 – focused on my new work sa USCO, then did intensive Agrarian Law research at nakipag tug of war sa aming caretaker, with DAR as our referee, op kors we won.
2012 – kinarir ko naman ang pagpapabakod ng aming converted homelot then nagpatayo ng Phase 1 ng aming Dream House Project. Tapos nalipat ako sa GIIC (now Bahrain Steel), the rest of the year we travelled to UAE, Qatar, Oman, Boracay, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau & siemps, Christmas & New Year’s sa Pinas, woot! 🙂
I knew na maski first half of 2013 ay naglagalag na ko, pagbalik ko dito e I’m really determined to do CIPS na talaga. This is it pancit! 🙂
Wala nang urungan.
I went to one of the official study centres in the island and took the Assessment Test and siemps, passed with flying colors, 96/100 (anyabang lang teh?). Tuwang tuwa maski yung amo ko. Bat pa daw ako nagtira ng 4 points, :p
The catch? Dahil hindi naapruban na i-cover ng Tamkeen or ng aming Training Dept (kasi ngay priority ang mga locals), I have to pay my own school fees. Kaso medyo masakit sa bulsa Ate Charo. BHD 1,500/- ang school fees for each level plus exam fees. Ouch naman.
So I did research online and learned na pwede naman pala Self Study. Bukod sa mas matipid (I only had to pay Student Membership fee for BHD 80/- & ordered the full course book online), flexible din sa time kasi I can study on my own pace, sa avail na time from work and during weekends.
Also, verified with CIPS UK that I can skip Levels 2 & 3 and go ahead to apply for Level 4 – Diploma in Procurement and Supply Operations.
On November 2013, I plan to take the exams for 3 subjects. Sa January 2014 naman ung balanseng 2 subjects. Baka kasi pag pinagsabay-sabay ko ung 5 subjects e mangamote ako. Essay pa naman ung exams, baka maubusan ako ng English, hehehe.
The Exams pala can be taken at designated Assessment Centers in Bahrain, i.e. British Council, Logic Institute, Management Consultancy Group. Galeeeng! How convenient noh? Pero type ko din sana gumora at magfly to UK to take the Exams. Ambisyosa! :p
CIPS Level 4 Exam fee pala ay GBP 90/- subject, plus applicable charges by the Assessment Center. Nag inquire ako sa tatlo and most reasonable sa MCG @ BHD15/subject, so dun na tayo sa mura siempre, 🙂
I ordered the Full Course Book na pala just recently (around BHD 132/- including courier fees, ouch ulit LOL) and while waiting for it to arrive ay niprint ko muna available study material for Levels 2, 3 & 4 from the CIPS Website for reading and exams exercises.
And so, parang inaannounce ko na rin na magiging mabagal pa rin ako magblog kasi need ko mag-aral bukod sa aking minamahal na work, chos!
Basta will always be in touch, every now and then….
Mabuhay ang CPE / CPD – Continuing Professional Education & Development, naks! 😉
