This post is part of a series on my 16-day Mainland South East Asian trip with college buddies across Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.
I have been looking forward to a trip with my college best friends since we graduated in 2005. Hence I was so elated when two of them were able to join me. It was like college again, minus the Departmental Exams, 🙂
Day 8 of this epic trip, which i consider the highlight and my favorite.I got to ride a real elephant lah. That’s one of my dreams coming true! 🙂
The Mons woke up early and had breakfast while waiting for our transport pick up.
Took about two hours on the road to reach Kanchanaburi. Malayo-layo rin pala Ate Charo.
This was a full packed day tour – Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Jeath War Museum, the Bridge over River Kwai, train ride thru the Death Railway, Water Rafting, unforgettable trek with Tan-Tan da Elephant, Sai Yok Waterfalls & National Park.
Sulit ang maghapon Ate Charo! Pagoda cold wave lotion ang peg pag-uwi namin sa guesthouse, wash up lang then tulog na agad. Zzzzzzzz. 🙂
