This post is part of a series on my 16-day Mainland South East Asian trip with college buddies across Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.
I have been looking forward to a trip with my college best friends since we graduated in 2005. Hence I was so elated when two of them were able to join me. It was like college once again, minus the Departmental Exams. 🙂
And so, after our 3-day adventure in the Land of Smiles, we move on to our next destination that is, Siam Reap, Cambodia.
Bangkok to Siam Reap by bus meant a 12 hour travel, hence we reached Bou Savy Guesthouse in the evening.
Our brief itinerary – Angkor Wat sunrise (kaso hindi sunny hehe), 1 Day Temple tour – South Gate of Angkor Thom – Bayon, Baphoun, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King, Ta Koa, Ta Phrom (aka Tomb Raider), Khmer Lunch (Loklak!), Banteay Kdey, Srah Srang & opkors Angkor Wat 🙂
Yes Ate Charo, kung kelan asa Ta Phrom na kami, deads na ang phone /cam ko, kaya next photos ay courtesy of my Atsi Juds. 🙂
After the Temple tour, we passed by souvenir shops for our fill of pasalubongs. Then went back to Bou Savy to rest.
We actually had Cambodian massage – room service (to compare with Thai massage daw hehe). And while Juds liked the Thai massage better, McDo preferred the Cambodian style. As for me, i’m happy to have had both and looking forward to Vietnamese massage naman, hehehe.
We then had our free dinner at Bou Savy and then waited for our midnight bus to Saigon.
Up next: Hello Ho Chi Minh City!
